Overview

Be among the first 25 applicants. The Borgen Project works to place poverty reduction as a focus of U.S., Canadian and U.K. foreign policy. The organization is an international effort that operates at the political level to improve living conditions for people affected by war, famine and poverty. With 20 years of experience in the advocacy space, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of numerous bills benefiting close to 500 million people in developing countries.

Writer/Journalist Programme

This is a part-time 12 hours per week, 12-week, unpaid remote programme. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks.

Responsibilities
  • Article writing.
  • Researching topics.
  • Assisting with The Borgen Project's advocacy efforts.
  • Assisting with fundraising. Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets.
Qualifications
  • No prior experience is necessary; we’re looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of GPA/background.

This is an unpaid programme, although college credit is available.
