Description

Priory Hospital Ticehurst House is looking to recruit a Ward Clerk to join the team. This is a part‑time role of 22.5 hours a week. Priory Hospital Ticehurst House's Highlands Unit is a welcoming, nine‑bed facility, offering person‑centred care, treatment and support for adults facing mental health challenges.

Highlands is situated in a character building, within our extensive main grounds, in the beautiful East Sussex countryside. We can support people with a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, stress and post‑traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day‑to‑day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Prepare admission packs
  • Record patient admissions and discharges on the relevant IT systems
  • Arrange sick certificates for patients on admission and throughout their stay as required
  • Obtain patient records from other hospitals as required
  • Ensure that all communication is within the boundaries of patient confidentiality, and seek guidance when unsure

A strong team‑working ethic and the ability to maintain professional boundaries are essential.
