Job description

Position Summary

This position is primarily responsible for table service to residents and guests. Perform duties in compliance with established Company policies and procedures and in a professional manner.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills
• Greet residents warmly and take their food order
• Deliver food ordered by resident and guests to the table, and demonstrate a courteous and considerate manner to all guests
• Clear prior course dishes before serving the next course
• Clear tables at the end of the meal and pre-set table for the next meal service
• Perform cleaning responsibilities as assigned and ensure that the dining room is maintained in a sanitary and orderly manner
• Perform any assigned cleaning tasks and/or side jobs
• Attend scheduled meetings and in‑services
• Knowledge of food handling and infection control, including HACCP standards
• Assist with preparation of food items as assigned
• Adhere to department standards of dress
• Follow directions and systems as indicated
• Stock salad bar according to diagram
• Perform duties in a team environment
• Safely operate all job‑related food service equipment
• Perform other duties as required
