Role Description

This is a volunteer hybrid role for a Volunteer Director at Instinctively Wild. Remotely based, this role allows for a combination of on-site and work-from-home duties. The Volunteer Director will choose an area of responsibility (from either Forest Schools, Eco-therapy, Corporate Team-Building, Volunteer Management, Organisational development, Financial Planning, Marketing/PR, Website and SEO, Income generation).

Ideally we are looking for people with experience of business and know how to run a company. We are less worried about having first hand knowledge of the Outdoor Learning/Social Enterprise sector.

They will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s mission to deliver quality outdoor activities for diverse groups of individuals.

Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with volunteers, team members, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in Program Development and Strategic Planning to design impactful outdoor activities and guide the organisation’s operational goals.
  • Expertise in creating and delivering programmes.
  • Passion for self‑growth, working with diverse populations, and outdoor‑based activities.
  • Flexibility to blend home and on‑site work as needed.
