A veterinary clinic in Halstead seeks a part-time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive and friendly team. Catley Cross Vets is looking for a part-time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive team. We’re a well-established practice known for high-quality, compassionate care and a genuinely positive working environment where teamwork, clinical standards and work–life balance really matter.
Your working week will include a varied mix of first-opinion medical and surgical cases, giving you the opportunity to work cases up to your level of experience. We actively support professional development and CPD, encouraging you to grow clinical interests while maintaining confidence and autonomy in your day-to-day work.
This role suits a vet who is comfortable with routine consultations and surgery, enjoys being part of a close-knit team and communicates well with both colleagues and clients. You’ll be supported to practise good medicine in a calm, collaborative environment.
The role offers 20 hours per week across three days, within school hours, alongside 1 in 4 Saturdays (8am–2pm). There is no out-of-hours work, helping you maintain a healthy and sustainable work–life balance.
