We are currently recruiting for a Vendor Manager to support our client on a 6-month contract which will likely to extend. Start Date: February. Location: Sheffield – 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
Deal Initiation/Assurance & Financial Planning
- Ensure alignment of key parties to agree objectives and support the development of the Tech/Business strategy to deliver.
- Ensure both a vertical and horizontal view is considered through value streams and co-design structures so that services are not duplicated and that there is a cohesive strategy around our service providers and tooling – this will need to happen for not only new deals but also with the current landscape of providers.
Negotiation & Contracting
- Review existing contracts identify and follow up on contracting themes/opportunity for better practice and implementation of guidelines and 3rd party uplifts.
Vendor Performance and Vendor Governance framework
- Analysing and creating, where appropriate, measurement to ensure SLA adherence and continuous improvement of the Vendors performance (and reviewed in governance forums).
Functional Knowledge
- Proven track record in technology vendor management role within the financial services industry, preferably within multinational banks.
- Strong understanding of Technology operational management requirements for banks and knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitor and market.
- Ability to translate technology strategy and align with vendors accordingly.
- SME across Third party risk management lifecycle and Third-party regulatory landscape.
- Experience of operating within a complex matrix environment.
- Deep financial and commercial awareness.
