A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking an undergraduate for a placement in Sandwich, UK. The role involves monitoring regulatory changes and contributing to strategic discussions. Applicants must be completing a placement as part of a degree course at a UK University, either through Year in Industry/Industrial Placement or Gap Year.

The Global Regulatory Policy and Intelligence team is accountable for monitoring changes in the external regulatory environment worldwide. The team also coordinates and drives Pfizer’s response to these changes. Discussions with internal colleagues specializing in affected areas, ranging from clinical development to digital technologies, allows the regulatory policy team to develop a point of view, which Pfizer uses during discussions with regulators (e.g. the EU Medicines Agency, US FDA, China Regulatory Authority) and colleagues from other pharmaceutical companies. The Undergraduate positions are based Sandwich or Walton Oaks, UK.

The regulatory environment is complex and constantly changing so you will need to be able to manage multiple issues and deliver to time and quality standards.
There will be many opportunities to interact face‑to‑face and virtually (via Webex, teleconference, etc.) with Pfizer colleagues around the world. There will also be opportunities for interaction with people working on similar issues in other pharmaceutical companies.
Placements will start on 1st September 2025 and will run for 12 months.
