Transport Planner – Speke, The Vault Distribution Centre

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - Nights

We’re looking for a detail orientated, self-motivated Transport Planner to join our Distribution Centre in Speke.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in a key operational area, which plays a vital role in keeping over 750 stores stocked and ready to serve our 4 million customers every week.

What you’ll be doing

As a Transport Planner, you will be supporting our Transport Team to ensure that deliveries to and from the warehouse are made on time, and correctly.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Data collection, preparation and analysis
• Planning the transport for the B&M Network
• Load Building and route Planning using Paragon Routing Software
• Maximising planned trailer fill and cost control
• Upkeep of Master Delivery Schedules

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who has experience managing a team of drivers. You should also be aware of the Health and Safety requirements of working around HGV’s and in a warehouse Environment.

You’ll need to have:

• Transport Planning experience is essential
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel and Outlook)
• Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK
• Paragon experience is essential
