We work as a team and we’re proud of the difference we make to customers, to local communities, and towards a sustainable future for the world.We’re looking for a Transport Manager to be based from our Cannock office.* A competitive salary and benefits package (including but not limited to pension plan, bonus scheme, and Life Assurance)* Generous holiday entitlement, with option to ‘buy’ or ‘sell‘* A focus on continued personal development* Paid time off work for volunteering in the community* Access to our Employee Assistance Programme which helps promote and support a healthy lifestyle**What you’ll do:** As Transport Manager, you will manage and ensure the safety, compliance, and efficiency of our transport fleet and operations, supporting business objectives and regulatory requirements.Your responsibilities will include:* Conducting risk assessments and implementing driver training plans aligned with business targets and CPC requirements* Managing, auditing, and reviewing transport compliance systems to ensure effectiveness and adherence to operator licence requirements* Overseeing vehicle and trailer safety, roadworthiness, and statutory inspections within maintenance intervals* Championing fuel and environmental standards* Negotiating transport contracts, pricing, and service level agreements* Collaborating with procurement on supplier management including auditing existing suppliers* Demonstrating commercial awareness to improve daily running costs and support growth* Proactively reviewing transport requirements and presenting opportunities to senior management, including long-term planning of UK&I vehicle requirements* Maintaining and promoting QHSE standards for the transport function**You’ll have the following skills and experience:*** Full UK Driver’s License* International CPC Certificate* Proven experience and knowledge of transport legislation and fleet compliance* Strong leadership and communication skills* Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)* LGV Driving License desirable* Understanding of international transport and customs requirements is a plus**Find out more and apply now.****Bring your energy.
