The position

The Technician will be responsible for the Operation and Maintenance of PV solar equipment systems in the UK with the support of the Team Leader.

Accountabilities
  • Undertake scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing
  • Carry out corrective maintenance; fault finding, troubleshooting and repair on all solar PV systems which will include mechanical and electrical diagnosis on Power Inverters
  • Proactive repair or component replacement to prevent complete failure or system downtime ensuring the highest level of Solar Plant availability
  • Provide out of hours and weekend response
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements
  • Assist in providing solutions to the Technical Manager
  • Conduct training lessons to enhance other employee’s technical knowledge
  • Report all maintenance works carried out using computer based service reporting procedures
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Service Engineer with Solar PV background
  • Troubleshooting and Fault Finding experience
  • Knowledge of Power Inverters
  • Computer skills; word processing, spreadsheets, email, management and reporting systems, including the use of diagnostic and troubleshooting tools
  • Willing to work overtime on weekends, bank holidays and on short notice.
  • Valid UK driver’s license and acceptable driving record
