An educational training provider is seeking candidates for a Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship based at Discovery Academy Norfolk Park in Sheffield. Job description
Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship (based at Discovery Academy Norfolk Park)

Unravel a career in education, help make a difference to pupils with special needs and reach your true potential with this Teaching Support Apprenticeship.

Support for the teacher:

  • Assist in ensuring that the learning environment is safe and purposeful for the pupils at the beginning and end of the day.
  • Ensure that all resources and equipment are clean, hygienic and ready for use.
  • To support children and young people in all areas of learning under the direction of the teacher or HLTA.
  • Monitor pupils responses to learning activities and record achievement and progress as directed.
  • To encourage positive behaviour for learning.

All applicants should consider the location of the job and look whether it is within suitable travelling distance to them.

Once completed, candidates will be fully qualified Teaching Assistants and be ready for a career in education or can progress to higher roles.

About the Training

Candidates will complete the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard over 15 months of practical training and after End Point Assessment, have successfully completed this apprenticeship.

Candidates will study with the RNN group both on day release at the Rotherham Campus and remotely by google classroom.

On completion the candidate will gain a Teaching assistant level 3 qualification.

Functional skils if required.
