About the role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people within our community. As part of our dedicated team, you will have the chance to enhance educational outcomes in a tailored and person-centered environment.

Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining high standards in teaching and learning, coordinating support packages for pupils with Additional Learning Needs, and ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all students. You'll also provide quality pastoral care, foster an inclusive and engaging environment, and lead in delivering an Area of Learning Experience aligned with the new Curriculum for Wales.

We’re seeking an individual with strong communication, negotiation, and behaviour management skills, as well as a positive and inclusive attitude towards diversity. You should be able to relate well to vulnerable/challenging young people, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate flexibility, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to ongoing learning and development.

Familiarity with relevant policies and procedures, creativity in supporting vulnerable youth, organisational skills, and professionalism in maintaining relationships are also essential qualities for this role.

While fluency in Welsh is required, applicants without this skill will receive full support to achieve proficiency on appointment.
