Main Purpose of Job
NSSLGlobal, a world-leading maritime systems integrator, is seeking a Design Engineer to collaborate with engineering and project teams to produce electrical and mechanical drawings.

Key Tasks
- Hold at least an HND/HNC qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent, with proven knowledge of and adherence to EU electrical safety and compliance directives.
- Preferably have at least five years of experience in electrical/systems design.
- Experience with electrical engineering regulations, including BS7671 wiring regulations (18th edition) and the Electricity at Work Act, is advantageous.
- Proficient in recognized drawing standards, including BS8888 2017.
- Familiarity with standards for EMC and LVD is required.
- Capable of developing design concepts from first principles with strong engineering design skills and knowledge of manufacturing techniques and materials.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques for electrical enclosures, control panels, and 19” racks.
- Ability to produce high-quality 2D and 3D drawings using a CAD tool, adhering to ISO standards. Assistance in selecting the CAD software is available.
- Produce STEP files for transfer to clients as needed.
- Transform rough mechanical designs into refined drawings.
- Create Visio diagrams to support other company needs.
- Experienced in using CAD packages such as AutoCAD, and ideally, electrical CAD tools like SEE Electrical or ETAP.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- At least four years of experience producing electronic and mechanical drawings in significant quantities.
- Strong work ethic, proactive initiative, problem-solving skills, ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
- Must hold or be eligible for SC Security Clearance.
- Proficient in standard office applications.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work that meets or exceeds customer requirements.
