A local council in Lymm is seeking passionate swimming teachers to join their team. The role involves teaching swimming skills to various ages, applying the Swim England framework. Successful candidates must have a Level 2 SE or STA Certificate and demonstrate enthusiasm and professionalism. The contract is casual, with variable hours including evenings and weekends. Lymm Leisure Centre (based at Lymm High School) is looking for passionate, enthusiastic and reliable swimming teachers to join our fantastic teaching team.
We deliver high quality swimming lessons following the ‘Swim England Learn to Swim framework’ to over 650 swimmers each week. In addition, we deliver Primary School swimming lessons to children in the local area.
Your primary role will be to teach people of various ages and abilities, including adults, to develop swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water in a safe environment. Swimming lessons will be assessed against the KS2 National Curriculum criteria. Our Learn to swim lessons follow Swim Englands learn to swim pathway. There will also be an opportunity to teach Rookie Lifeguard lessons.

Successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment clearances including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Additional opportunities will be available to cover as required learn to swim lessons which run Monday – Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Further regular teaching opportunities will arise in the future.

Contract Term: Casual
Hours of Duty: Variable throughout Mon – Thurs evening ( Hours will include Tues 4pm – 7pm and Thursday 4pm – 8pm)
