We’re looking for a caring, reliable and empathetic Support Worker to join our Dorset Outreach team. This is your to support a remarkable gentleman with Huntington’s disease.

What is required from you?

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
  • Agincare are looking for a female support worker with excellent spoken communication
  • Encouraging activities he enjoys
  • Promoting independence and wellbeing in a respectful, person‑centred way experience with learning disabilities and complex needs (desirable, not essential)
  • Willingness to learn and work closely with a tight‑knit team
  • A Full UK driving Licence
  • Working 5 hours a day Monday to Friday, flexibility required

Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.

Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

Communicating – effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods

Engaging – promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life

Specialising – supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches

Recording – keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management

Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
