About the role – Who you’ll be supporting

I am a gentleman in my 60s and I live in my own flat. Things that I find challenging are my epilepsy, my mobility issues. I get support from the staff to live independently as I’m diagnoses with a Learning disability.

Due to extreme Epilepsy, the staff need to be able to support me through seizures and be Buccal midazolam trained, as I may need this medication administrating during a particularly bad seizure.

It’s important that the staff support me with my mobility as I am unsteady on my feet. I get along well with my family and medical professional; I enjoy their company.

I am very proud that I can live in my own flat, I have cactus’ that I care for and ensure they have water, but not too much! I also enjoy gardening with the staff, watching TV, although I do like to be on my own to watch TV in the quiet.

I do not like younger children, and my aspiration is to go on holiday somewhere nice!
