A prominent fintech firm in Greater London seeks a Strategy & Corporate Development Manager to spearhead initiatives defining their growth. This role requires expertise in the end-to-end transaction lifecycle, including M&A and capital raising. Ideal candidates have 5-8 years in top-tier strategy or corporate development, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence high-level decisions. The company values flexible working arrangements and offers generous employee benefits to support growth and diversity in the workplace.
Allica is the UK’s fastest growing company - and the fastest-growing financial technology (Fintech) firm ever. Our purpose is to help established SMEs, one of the last major underserved opportunities in Fintech.
Established SMEs are the backbone of local communities - representing over a third of our economy - yet have been largely neglected both by traditional high street banks and modern fintech providers.
The Corporate Development Team drives Allica’s ambitious and distinctive growth strategy by spearheading the pursuit and execution of selective business M&A, portfolio purchases and forward flow lending partnerships, supporting capital raising and investor related activity, and supporting senior bank leadership to shape business strategy and make sound commercial decisions.
As Strategy & Corporate Development Manager you’ll be at the centre of Allica’s growth story—driving initiatives that define our next chapter. This is an opportunity to influence high-level decisions and help us scale rapidly as we win market share and transform SME banking.
In this role you’ll play a key role in Allica’s pursuit of opportunities across the end-to-end transaction lifecycle—from assessing opportunities to executing and integrating strategic mergers & acquisitions and lending partnerships. Beyond that, you’ll be deeply involved in capital raising, investor-engagement, and strategic analysis that shapes our business direction—and executing to make it happen. Expect to work on market research, competitive insights, due diligence and financial modelling, and developing relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders and advisors.
This is a unique and high-profile role in a small team where you’ll work closely with the Head of Corporate Development and gain significant exposure to Allica’s Executive and Board leadership. You’ll collaborate with experts across teams such as Finance, Legal, Product, Risk, Data, Distribution and Operations, developing a deep understanding of the inner workings of a modern bank.
At Allica Bank we want to ensure our employees have the right tools and environment in which to succeed in their role and in support of our customers.
Our employees are at the heart of everything we do, so our benefits are designed with you in mind:
Don’t worry if you don’t have all the skills or requirements listed on the job description. If you think you’ll be a good fit, we’d still love to hear from you!
We know the ‘9-to-5’ isn’t right for everyone. That’s why Allica Bank is fully committed to flexible and hybrid working. Please let us know what is best for you and, if we can, we will do our best to accommodate.
We’re a diverse bunch here at Allica, with all kinds of experiences, backgrounds and lifestyles. Our openness and differences make us stronger, and we want everybody to feel comfortable bringing as much of themselves to work with them as they like.
