The role is hybrid, requiring attendance at the Bristol office three days a week. A British passport or citizenship is necessary for security clearance.
I have a brand new role for a Test Engineer to join my client, a software house based in North Bristol as they continue to expand their Test team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting, cutting‑edge projects, from bespoke mobile applications to connected products and connected cloud services. They work on some really cool projects all aimed at protecting people on the front line (very much tech for good not tech for bad!). They work hybrid, so you’ll need to be happy coming into their Bristol office three days a week, and due to the nature of the work, you’ll need to hold a British passport or British Citizenship as you’ll be required to go through security clearance.
The company has been going through significant growth so it’s a great time to be joining.
You’ll be joining a growing test team of 7 currently, and the role will initially focus on manual testing, but there’s a increasing drive towards automation, and whilst the role will initially be more manual, you’ll have the chance to get hands on with test automation in the future, and while you don’t need to be an automation expert from day one, a desire and willingness to learn automation is essential.
Projects are varied and genuinely interesting, often including a mix of software and connected devices. You’ll join a collaborative test team, working closely with development teams to champion best practices and elevate product quality. There are opportunities to work on full‑stack products, contribute to end‑to‑end delivery, and support acceptance and release phases.
They are looking for people with a solid manual software testing background with a genuine interest in learning test automation, and new technologies you may not have worked with before.
