A historic working museum in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Site Manager to ensure a safe and well-maintained site while overseeing maintenance activities. You will lead a small team and work closely with the Museum Director, playing a key role in the success of the organization. This permanent, full-time role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to preserving industrial heritage and enhancing visitor experience.
Amberley Museum is a working museum dedicated to preserving the industrial heritage of the Southeast, showcasing and bringing to life our rural, transport, industrial and communications history for today’s visitors and for future generations.

In addition tomaintainingand improving what we have, the museum has ambitious plans for growth. Weare therefore looking for a Site Manager to join our small team of employees and work closely with theMuseumDirector, Trustees, and Volunteers to build something they and we can bereally proudof.
As Site Manager, your primary responsibilityis to ensure a safe,secureand well-maintained Museum site, overseeing maintenanceandrepairactivity,engineering workshopsand health and safetyrightacross the Museumsite.You’llalsobe responsible forleading a small team of employees, together withteams of volunteers.As the “number 2” to our Museum Director,you’llrun the Museum in her absence, and as a member of the management teamyou’llplay a key role in the overall success of thecharity.
