Site Engineer – Plymouth

Job Summary

This full‑time, site‑based role is for a Consultant Site Engineer located in Plymouth. The consultant will assist the engineering team in ensuring technical compliance with design specifications to deliver projects safely, on time, and to the required quality.

Responsibilities
  • Regular communication and reporting to multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects, including coordination of subcontractors.
  • Provide engineering support to resolve technical problems and answer technical queries.
  • Set out works constructed within allowable tolerances.
  • Prepare “as‑built” drawings and record and test workmanship and materials.
  • Maintain registers and ensure safety and quality documentation.
Qualifications
  • Degree level, HNC or HND qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Site experience, including setting out and reinforced concrete.
  • Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practice.
  • IT skills including MS Office.
  • BPSS level security clearance is necessary.
  • Candidates must hold EU, NATO, 5 Eyes or MISWG member passports.
Desirable
  • CSCS, SMSTS, TWS or TWC certificates.
  • Experience with BIM / Digital, including Autodesk.
