Job summary

A leading educational institution in Hastings is seeking a passionate Plumbing Instructor to deliver engaging lessons and support student development. Candidates should have at least a Level 2 qualification in Plumbing and relevant industry experience. This role offers a competitive salary between £29.31 and £45.16 per hour, with a commitment to professional development and teaching qualifications provided for those without prior teaching experience. The position is sessional, with current needs on Fridays for approximately 4 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across Levels 1 & 2 Plumbing.
  • Supporting and assessing student progress, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
  • Staying up to date with industry developments and participating in staff training.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent).
  • Relevant industry experience and knowledge of current practices and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one. For many of our teaching roles, we welcome applications from candidates at any stage of their career, including industry professionals with no/limited teaching experience. We are able to offer teacher development & qualifications to enable teaching success.

Salary

Annual salary: £29.31 - £45.16 Per Hour – includes holiday rate.
