Job summary

A recruitment firm in the vocational training sector seeks a passionate Service Sector Advisor to enhance training outcomes in Canterbury. Service Sector Advisor (Cookery workplace learning)

We’re looking for someone passionate about making a positive impact in vocational training and who thrives on building relationships with proven success in sales, driving learner success, and working collaboratively to improve training outcomes.

This position is based at our Papanui office and covers all of the Canterbury region with overnight travel on a call cycle. You’ll work standard business hours Monday to Friday, and a car is provided for client visits.

About the job

In addition to picking up an existing customer portfolio, you will use your proven sales and relationship management skills to grow new business within the service sectors. Supported by our great ServiceIQ team, you'll be working with customers and learners to:

  • Guide clients on the best ServiceIQ training offerings, creating value for both learners and employers
  • Engage effectively with a variety of workplaces and trainees across the industries we service, to foster positive learning experiences and ensure programme standards are met
  • Conduct Training Needs Analyses, develop tailored training and development plans, and mentor trainees
About you
  • A strong understanding of training needs and vocational education
  • Chef's qualification and/or minimum five years recent and relevant cookery experience
  • Proven sales, account and relationship management experience
  • Industry experience in other sectors such as tourism, retail or museums would be an advantage
