Senior / Associate Planner - Scotland (Glasgow / Edinburgh)

Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh (hybrid working available)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Role

An established and highly regarded planning and development consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior / Associate Planner to join its growing Scottish team. Based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, this role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex and high-profile development projects across Scotland. The successful Senior / Associate Planner will play a key role in providing strategic planning advice, managing planning applications, and supporting the continued growth of the business in the Scottish market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage planning applications, appeals and development strategies
  • Provide clear, commercially focused planning advice to clients
  • Interpret and apply Scottish planning policy and legislation
  • Liaise and negotiate with local planning authorities and key stakeholders
  • Mentor and support junior members of the planning team
  • Contribute to client relationship management and business development activities
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience in enguard planning consultancy environment
  • Strong knowledge of the Scottish planning system and policy framework
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively
  • RTPI membership (MRTPI or LRTPI) or working towards accreditation
  • Experience operating at Senior Planner or Associate level
