Senior Specialty Fellow - Foot and Ankle

Grade: NHS Medical & Dental Senior Specialty Fellow

Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week

Duties will include:

• Regular Orthopaedic outpatient clinics at UHS Hospitals. And Operating sessions at UHS.
• Supervising the treatment of patients in University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust
• Carrying out regular ward rounds as appropriate.
• Participation in clinical audit within the unit.
• Active involvement in the training and supervision of Junior Medical Staff on ward rounds, in theatre and in clinics, including the teaching of medical and nursing students.
• On-call duties as part of the middle grade on call rota.
• Take responsibility for improving and complying with infection control practices

This is a provisional job plan and will be mutually agreed with the Clinical Supervisor and the Clinical Director according to the training needs and interests of the Fellow.
