Pay: £26,600 per annumbased on experience
Working Hours:Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

About our Nursery

Sunhill Day Nursery Colchester, nestled within the serene grounds of Braiswick Primary School, is a purpose-built nursery that utilises eco-friendly building technology. We are proud to provide a secure and stimulating environment where children thrive through play and exploration. Our setting has four age-appropriate rooms designed to support children’s learning and development, all with access to our expansive, free flow, outdoor areas that include a sensory garden, climbing apparatus, mud kitchen, and a bug hotel famously known as ‘Buggingham Palace’ at Colchester nursery. Conveniently situated just 5 minutes from the A12 and a brief 10-minute walk from Colchester North Station, Sunhill Day Nursery Colchester is nestled within the grounds of Braiswick Primary School on Apprentice Drive, off Bergholt Road. Parking is available on site.

What Your Role Involves

As a valued member of our team, you’ll:

  • Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
  • Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others
