Overview

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior ICT Technician to join a flourishing co-educational boarding and day school, set on a 100-acre campus in Witley, Surrey. The role involves supporting the Director of IT and the Bridewell IT Team in the design, development and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring the smooth running of supported IT systems across Bridewell schools. The post will specifically manage the daily running of IT at Longacre School and co-manage daily running at King Edward’s School. Occasional assistance with the broader operational running of Longacre may be required. A valid driver’s license and access to personal transport are required due to the multi-site nature of the role.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of IT and the Bridewell IT Team in the design, development and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Ensure the security of all IT hardware through regular software and firmware updates and patching.
  • Provide outstanding, proactive, and accessible user support; oversee the running of the helpdesk system.
  • Collaborate with the Bridewell IT Team to enable IT facilities to be used seamlessly for Teaching and Learning.
  • Manage the daily IT operations at Longacre School and co-manage daily IT operations at King Edward’s School; assist with broader IT/operational needs as required.
  • Assist in IT development projects for schools and the Foundation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in an ICT/IT support role within an educational or multi-site environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT hardware, software, networks, and security practices.
  • Ability to manage a helpdesk and work collaboratively with teams to enable effective teaching and learning.
  • Willingness to travel between sites and access to a vehicle for site visits.
