Job description

The integrated Musculoskeletal Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic hand therapist ( OT or PT ) to join our hand therapy team based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assessment, intervention, splinting and rehabilitation of hand therapy patients using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Manage a own case load with regular informal/formal supervision, peer review and reflective practice.
• Assist in the formulation of clinical diagnosis and treatment indicated and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
• Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to develop and enhance personal and team's clinical practice.
• Contribute to the preparation of service protocols and implementation of specific changes to practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified OT or PT with experience in hand therapy.
• Full valid driving licence and access to a car for business purposes.
• Sound clinical reasoning and communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
