Senior Fleet and Logistics Analyst
The Senior Analyst, Fleet and Logistics supports day‑to‑day fleet and logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution of tasks related to vehicle management, routing, and compliance. Provides advanced analytical support for fleet and logistics operations, focusing on cost optimization, performance metrics, and process improvements. This role plays a critical part in standing up internal fleet licensing, registration, and fuel management capabilities as the organization transitions away from a third‑party service provider.
This position will help design, document, and execute core fleet processes, ensuring compliance, cost control, and operational readiness. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to partner effectively across Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, and Finance.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end vehicle licensing, registration, renewals, and compliance requirements across all fleet assets
- Maintain accurate, audit‑ready documentation and records for licensing, registration, and compliance activities
- Support the transition from external service providers to internal management of licensing, registration, and fuel programs
- Design, document, and maintain fleet processes, SOPs, workflows, and governance standards
- Execute day‑to‑day operational tasks and provide issue resolution as fleet governance matures
- Coordinate with field operations to ensure timely submission of required documents and adherence to state‑specific regulations
- Develop and maintain dashboards for key fleet KPIs (fuel efficiency, delivery performance, cost per mile, utilization)
- Conduct cost analysis for fleet operations, vendor contracts, and fuel programs
- Support lease vs. buy analysis and vehicle lifecycle planning
- Partner with Procurement and Finance on cost optimization initiatives and vendor performance reviews
- Identify trends and recommend process improvements based on data insights and operational performance
Competency, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Advanced Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage cross‑functional partners
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and documentation capabilities
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment with evolving priorities
- Familiarity with fleet operations, compliance requirements, and vehicle lifecycle management preferred
Management/Supervision
- This position does not have direct reports
- Receives guidance and supervision from the Manager, Director, Fleet and Logistics
- May receive mentorship and guidance from senior team members
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field required
- 3–5 years in fleet/logistics or supply chain analytics
- Experience with fleet licensing, registration, compliance, or fuel management preferred
- Experience supporting process design, documentation, or operational governance is a plus
