Job summary

A government contracting client is looking for a Senior Business Operations Assistant in the United Kingdom. This role supports vulnerable children and young people. The position allows for 2 days of remote work and offers ongoing support and guidance. Candidates should have at least GCSE-level education in English and Maths or an equivalent NVQ, along with strong organizational skills and a passion for helping others. The temporary contract lasts for 60 days with a start date of 05 Jan.

Salary: £17.24 per hour (Inside IR35)

Location: 2 days remote, 3 days in the office. Glastonbury Library Hub / or other hub by agreement (we support teams based in Bridgwater, Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet, Taunton & Yeovil)

Contracting Authority: Government Client

Contract Length: 60 days, start date will be 05 Jan. Temporary contract to 31-Mar-2026

Clearance: Basic DBS disclosure

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

  • It is essential that you are educated to GCSE level including English and Maths or hold an NVQ Level 2 standard or equivalent.
  • Have some experience of working in an administrative role (although this is not essential as we recognise that lots of skills are transferable).
  • Can demonstrate a willingness to learn.
  • Are passionate about helping to improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
  • Have a warm, friendly and non-judgemental manner.
  • Can remain calm and kind in difficult situations and conversations.
  • Have good organisational skills, the ability to multi-task and work using your own initiative.
