To strengthen our team in UK & Nordics, we are looking for a Sales Manager based in UK or Sweden for our BIOSOLUTIONS division.

About the Role

As a BIOSOLUTIONS Sales Manager at WACKER, you will act as the primary interface to customers in the UK and Nordic regions. You will manage the entire sales cycle, represent WACKER’s brand, and ensure customer satisfaction. Your role includes identifying new opportunities, building strong relationships, and driving business growth in line with our strategic goals.

Your Responsibilities
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand WACKER’s presence in UK & Nordics.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of customers and stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs; prepare development plans and forecasts.
  • Qualify opportunities and align them with WACKER BIOSOLUTIONS capabilities.
  • Prepare offers and quotations, develop value propositions, and manage pricing.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals under favorable conditions for WACKER.
  • Ensure smooth order processing and follow up until payment is received.
  • Support customers with inquiries, logistics, and technical questions.
  • Handle complaints according to WACKER guidelines and ensure compliance with export regulations.
  • Monitor competitors and report insights to the business team.
  • Use Salesforce and other tools to document and track opportunities.
  • Manage local distributors and regional accounts and support coordination of global accounts.
What We’re Looking For
  • University degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry or Engineering (MSc, MBA, or PhD preferred).
  • Broad chemico-technical knowledge, ideally strong knowledge of biotechnology, food/nutrition, confectionary industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Technical Service in nutraceuticals, APIs, biotechnology, cosmetics, agro-industrial or specialty chemicals markets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle pressure.
  • Commercial and technical understanding of products and markets.
  • Knowledge of logistical and technical processes.
  • Proficiency in English; German or local language is a plus.
  • Good IT skills (Salesforce, MS Office, SAP).
  • Willingness to travel extensively within UK, Ireland & Nordics and occasionally to Munich and other European cities.
  • Cultural awareness and ability to work in diverse teams.
