A support service provider in Southampton is seeking a Relief Support Worker to assist individuals with learning disabilities. You will help with daily activities and provide emotional support in a busy home environment. Ideal candidates should have a passion for helping others and be flexible with their working hours, including evenings and weekends. Mencap are seeking Relief Support Workers to join our incredible teams in our services in Northallerton.
As a Relief Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.
We support four adults who have a learning disability, who are good friends, and live in our supported living service in Northallerton. We are looking to grow our lively, inclusive, knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly staff team!
We support three gentlemen and one lady who all live independent, fun and active lifestyles. It is a busy home, from going to day centres, to the gym, cinema, seeing friends, socialising.
Supporting someone with their daily life is not a 9-5 job. You will need to be able to work across a range of different days and shift patterns, including some sleep‑in shifts. We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance –Got a request, something special going on? Your manager will certainly try to help you meet it.

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
There is also a non contractual sleep‑in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
