Overview

Regulatory Compliance Associate (Food & Nutrition) at Protein Works. This role focuses on ensuring product compliance across the UK and EU markets.

Responsibilities
  • Review labelling and marketing material to confirm regulatory compliance and requirements.
  • Provide advice on nutrition and health claims.
  • Ensure product registrations are completed as required for EU markets.
  • Provide regulatory support to the business, including export territories under rapid expansion with primary focus on UK and EU regulations.
  • Provide regulatory input for development work to ensure products are safe, legal and meet PW food safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate key product information to Technical and NPD teams to enable risk-based decision making.
  • Coordinate nutritional analysis of product to confirm regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and create finished product specifications and maintain appropriate registrations with relevant authorities where required.
  • Highlight regulatory risks and opportunities and propose business solutions in response to regulatory changes.
  • Keep up to date with all relevant legislation in the country where PW products are sold.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous experience with regulatory compliance within food manufacturing or a food-based industry is essential.
  • Degree qualified in food law, food technology, food science or other related subject.
  • 1-2 years minimum experience in UK and EU food/food supplements regulations.
  • Experience with logistics compliance and export/import processes.
  • Highly organized with exceptional verbal and written skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Competent in Microsoft applications.
