SUMMARY

The role provides expert nutritional care to participants and serves as a key consultant to interdisciplinary healthcare teams. The Senior RD plays a pivotal role in program development, quality improvement, and departmental innovation, ensuring the highest standards of nutritional care and operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide Advanced Clinical Nutrition Care: Manage complex and high‑acuity patient cases, serve as a resource for specialized nutrition therapies, and lead interdisciplinary case reviews.

  • Drive Program Development & Quality Improvement: Design nutrition‑related initiatives, analyze outcomes data, and develop evidence‑based protocols to enhance care delivery.

  • Lead Education & Staff Development: Deliver advanced clinical training, support onboarding of new staff, and promote continuous professional growth within the department.

  • Advance Research & Evidence‑Based Practice: Participate in research projects, evaluate emerging nutrition trends, and integrate best practices into clinical workflows.

  • Promote Community Health & Operational Excellence: Oversee wellness and outreach programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead initiatives to improve patient and participant satisfaction.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or a related field (required for all hires on or after April 1, 2022)

  • 3 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage complex clinical cases and lead multidisciplinary teams

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in nutritional care

  • Certification in a specialized area of nutrition

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

$30.50 - $38.50
