The role provides expert nutritional care to participants and serves as a key consultant to interdisciplinary healthcare teams. The Senior RD plays a pivotal role in program development, quality improvement, and departmental innovation, ensuring the highest standards of nutritional care and operational excellence.
Provide Advanced Clinical Nutrition Care: Manage complex and high‑acuity patient cases, serve as a resource for specialized nutrition therapies, and lead interdisciplinary case reviews.
Drive Program Development & Quality Improvement: Design nutrition‑related initiatives, analyze outcomes data, and develop evidence‑based protocols to enhance care delivery.
Lead Education & Staff Development: Deliver advanced clinical training, support onboarding of new staff, and promote continuous professional growth within the department.
Advance Research & Evidence‑Based Practice: Participate in research projects, evaluate emerging nutrition trends, and integrate best practices into clinical workflows.
Promote Community Health & Operational Excellence: Oversee wellness and outreach programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead initiatives to improve patient and participant satisfaction.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or a related field (required for all hires on or after April 1, 2022)
3 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Proven ability to manage complex clinical cases and lead multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in nutritional care
Certification in a specialized area of nutrition
Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
$30.50 - $38.50
