Job summary

A healthcare facility is seeking a caring individual for a permanent role in their Imaging department at Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2/3 or Health & Social Care qualification and relevant healthcare experience. Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including some weekends & evenings to 8pm)

Job Overview

We are looking for a caring individual with a NVQ Level 2/3 or Health & Social Care qualification (or working towards). The role is in a busy Imaging department providing scans and X‑ray examinations for the Emergency, In‑patient and Out‑patient services. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team with radiographers and radiologists, supporting patient flow and cannulating patients. The position requires evening and weekend working. The role is based at Princess Royal Hospital and may occasionally involve work at other Trust sites.

Main Responsibilities
  • Actively participate as a member of the Imaging team, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of CT and Fluoroscopy areas.
  • Assist radiographers, radiologists and nurses in providing individualized care to patients.
  • Cannulate patients and support the operational flow of the department.
  • Maintain confidence of all patient information and uphold confidentiality.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including adequate screening for safety.
  • Be flexible with shift patterns, working evenings and weekends as required.
  • Competently perform intravenous cannulation after training.
Person Specification
  • Relevant healthcare experience.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 or Health & Social Care qualification (or in progress). Knowledge of intravenous cannulation.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, evenings and weekends.
