Overview

We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Southern Water team based in Falmer, Brighton.

Location: Falmer, Brighton - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: 40 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Join our collaborative team as a Quality Engineer and play a vital role in ensuring excellence across our framework projects. You\'ll be providing expert guidance, nurturing quality standards, and contributing to successful project outcomes in a supportive and dynamic environment.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Managing site visits to nurture quality practices throughout project lifecycles, from mobilisation to handover
  • Building relationships with project teams and clients to ensure quality requirements are understood and embraced
  • Reviewing quality documentation and ensuring inspection test plans are followed with appropriate supporting evidence
  • Conducting inspections and sharing insights to develop continuous improvement across projects
  • Championing the delivery of the Water Quality Strategy through collaborative engagement with teams
Qualifications
  • You have practical experience in quality control activities within construction
  • You enjoy interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to ensure standards are met
  • You’re comfortable with digital tools and can maintain clear, thorough records
  • You have excellent communication skills and enjoy sharing knowledge with others
  • You hold a CSCS card and ideally have ISO 9001 training or professional quality qualifications
