Job summary

A leading packaging solutions company in Bromborough seeks a Quality Assurance Technician. Responsibilities include conducting material testing and ensuring manufactured films meet specifications. Candidates should have A-level education and skills in quality assurance and Microsoft software. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential. Full training provided for candidates without prior experience. This role contributes to maintaining high safety and quality standards within the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment (desirable but not essential as full training will be provided).
  • Proficient in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Attention to detail, proactive and solution-focused, ability to perform independently.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out material testing and maintain excellent housekeeping while following appropriate safety, environment, and risk management systems.
  • Carry out routine laboratory tests ensuring the manufactured film meets customer specifications.
  • Provide analysis of material samples to support decision making within the department.
  • Prepare for laboratory tasks using appropriate techniques, procedures, SOPs, and methods.
  • Analyze, interpret, and evaluate data to identify results requiring further investigation.
  • Produce reliable and accurate data and keep records of quality testing undertaken.
  • Use specified laboratory equipment, including calibration where required.
  • Recognize problems and apply scientific methods to identify causes and solutions.
  • Summarize test results and communicate them effectively to customers.
  • Participate in continuous business performance improvement.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture.
  • Assist with other activities as required.

  • To summarise test results and communicate these effectively to customers as required.
