Qualified Inspector – Medical Repair Service
Responsibilities
- Product disassembly, refurbishment, repair, assembly, and testing processes depending on stage requirements in accordance to the Technical Services Global Guidelines and the relevant regulatory standards.
- Repair in line with method sheets and/or repair manuals, including other relevant processes and procedures.
- Adhere to health and safety requirements as determined by the risk assessment; Escalate incidents, near misses and identified hazards.
- Responsibility for the quality of the product for the designated stage of the repair, meeting minimum target requirements and performing inspection checks throughout the repair process.
- Achieve customer satisfaction by working to the required productivity and quality targets in line with divisional goals.
- Use specialist calibrated tooling and test equipment defined for the repair process.
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset and work to relevant Lean and 6S expectations.
- Use service management and administration systems to record all relevant information for the repairs, including process times.
- Follow shop floor management in your area by using the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle for repairs and support effective WIP (work in progress) management within the process.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSE's.
- Ability to understand written technical information.
- Previous experience in a technical role or fine hand skills gained through other means.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Problem solving/fault finding.
- Good computer literacy, including the use of e‑mail and data entry.
Physical Requirements
The role requires you to be on your feet for extended periods during day‑to‑day activities. Carrying out inspections involves light manual work, which can be performed while seated or standing at a designated bench/stage. Movement throughout the workshop is required to access various equipment.
