Project Product Assurance Engineer – EnerSys

EnerSys is the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications. This role is based in our EnerSys Advanced Systems (EAS) Space line of business, supporting international space missions for satellites, launchers, and interplanetary vehicles. The team works with national and international space agencies such as NASA and the European Space Agency, as well as the commercial marketplace for Earth observation, IoT satellite constellations, and GPS systems.

Job Purpose

The Project Product Assurance (PA) Engineer is responsible for product assurance requirements on assigned space projects and supports the Project PA Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver on‑time and quality Product Assurance activities within EnerSys ABSL.
  • Prevent, investigate, and resolve non‑conformances on assigned projects.
  • Produce project documentation to meet internal PA requirements (e.g., NCRs, EIDPs, Inspection Reports).
  • Execute in‑build and in‑test inspection points and sign‑off associated reports or checkpoints.
  • Create specialist Product Assurance analysis and documentation (PM&P, EEE, RAMS, Safety) as agreed with the Project PA Manager.
  • Document compliance of delivered product against customer specifications.
Qualifications
  • BTEC in a STEM subject, equivalent qualification, or relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of European Space Industry standards (to be further developed).
  • Experience inspecting and accepting spacecraft hardware (to be developed).
  • Experience producing inspection documentation (to be developed).
  • Understanding of configuration control principles and associated project documentation (e.g., CIDL).
