We are Hiring: Project Officer – Warm and Wellbeing South Tees

Do you want to make a real difference in people’s lives? Are you passionate about tackling fuel poverty, supporting vulnerable households, and creating warmer, healthier communities? If so, Middlesbrough Environment City (MEC) wants YOU!

As our new Project Officer – Warm and Wellbeing South Tees

You’ll be on the frontline of support for households across South Tees. From providing energy efficiency advice to connecting residents with grants and fuel support, you’ll play a vital role in helping people stay warm, reduce bills, and improve wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For:
  • A commitment to tackling fuel poverty and supporting vulnerable communities
  • Experience in a customer service or advice-giving role, with empathy and a non-judgemental approach
  • Strong IT skills and confidence in accurate data entry and record keeping
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team

Bonus: Willingness to complete Level 2 Fuel Debt Advice in the Community, with progression to Level 3 Energy Awareness.

Location: MEC office and community-based work across South Tees.

Contract: 2-year fixed term, full time (37.5 hours per week).

Salary: Up to £24,500 (depending on experience).
