Job Description
Role Overview

This role will serve as the liaison between global Sustainability and Fanatics International and will execute sustainability strategy tailored for a European regional context. The Manager will facilitate the development, commercialization and marketing of preferred materials and product in alignment with regulatory needs and corporate sustainability goals. The Product Sustainability Manager will report to the Sustainability Director, Environment. The position is based in Manchester, UK.

How you will make an impact:
  • Develop and execute product/materials sustainability strategies, particularly tailored to European partner and consumer expectations
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer between the global Sustainability team and European-market business teams to develop impact strategy and initiatives
  • Manage product traceability/chain of custody data to support sustainability claims, reporting, and third-party certifications
  • Work with Government Relations and Brand Responsibility teams to track regional product, EPR, and other ESG regulations and create compliance action plans
  • Manage regional EPR reporting requirements
  • Engage with external partners, including sporting leagues and clubs, on sustainability-related requirements and shared goals
  • Track and ensure compliance with partner/licensor sustainability requirements
  • Support the development of business data systems to meet sustainability reporting needs
  • Support team to design with circularity in mind through guidelines or education
  • Serve as a regional ambassador for all aspects of global Sustainability, including via training and best practice sharing
  • Support other sustainability initiatives across global geographies as needed
What you bring to the team:
  • Strong communicator and proven success working cross-functionally
  • 5+ years Apparel, Textiles, Sustainability and Supply Chain experience
  • Direct experience in product or materials sustainability preferred
  • Strong knowledge of product costing and associated challenges
  • Knowledge of EU and UK sustainability regulation, particularly related to product sustainability, EPR and green claims
  • Experience collecting and validating Transaction Certificates
  • Analytical skills in interpreting material forecasts, assessing environmental and product impact scores, and refining product attribute disclosures
  • Experience with PLM systems and product-related data
