Qualifications

Location and Work Type

Location: Lower Brighouse Wastewater Treatment Works, Mirfield, West Yorkshire

Work Type: Permanent | Full-time (40 hours per week, rotational shifts)

About the Role

As a Proactive Desilt Technician, you’ll operate a Muller Canal Master recycler to carry out proactive desilting across Yorkshire, reducing pollution events and improving network performance. You’ll work alongside the Proactive Desilt Assistant and collaborate with internal teams and contractors to resolve operational issues.

  • Operate recycler vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Respond to sewer blockages and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Collect and report evidence (photos, plans) for remedial works.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards.
  • Work in confined spaces (medical clearance required)

  • HGV Category C licence + DCPC
  • Experience driving liquid-load vehicles.
