A regional local authority in Chatham is seeking a dedicated Education, Health and Care Assessment Officer to manage EHC assessments, ensure high-quality EHC plans, and collaborate with professionals across various sectors. Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We’re looking for a dedicated and highly organised individual to join our team as an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Assessment Officer.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) process and producing high‑quality EHC plans within statutory timeframes. Your work will span all post‑14 educational phases, ensuring that each plan reflects the unique needs and aspirations of the child or young person.
You'll gather and analyse information from a range of sources and collaborate closely with professionals across education, health and social care to identify and deliver meaningful outcomes. This is a hybrid role – candidates are required to work from the office three times per week.

These frameworks provide a mechanism for employees to take ownership of their development within their post and be rewarded accordingly. The salary offered will be at level A unless, based on an assessment against the CPF criteria, you demonstrate that you are meeting the criteria of level B or C. There will be further opportunity once in post to progress from level A to B, and B to C.
