Personal assistant required for lady in Aylsham @£12.38ph 15hrs a week - Norwich - NR11

Job Purpose:

An opportunity as a personal assistant has become available to support a lady who lives with a physical disability and mental health issues, in Aylsham with day-to-day tasks. Primarily this is a motivational and companionship role. The lady would like someone who can provide the right encouragement and support, to gain the motivation she needs to become more active, both at home and in the local community.

Details
  • Light housework – Help with Washing up, hoovering, ironing, hanging washing out, and any other tasks that are deemed necessary at that time.
  • Meal preparation: Support with cooking evening meals and baking.
  • Leisure activities: Visit charity shops as part of the lady’s therapy.
  • Occasionally take to and from appointments.
  • Occasional overnight stay when appointed person is not available.
  • Medication support: Be shown how to administer her medication, in rare circumstances that the’s partner is not available.

Summary terms and conditions:
  • The rate of pay for this position is £12.38ph.
  • Hours and times of work: 3 days a week for 5 hours each day. Can be flexible.
  • Other duties will be discussed if/when deemed appropriate but everything that will be expected will be explained prior to acceptance of the position.
  • The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
  • Access to free training for employed workers.
  • If this job requires manual handling, handling of hazardous chemicals and/or food handling you will be required to undertake annual training.
The post is subject to the following:
  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
