Role Summary and Impact

What you’ll do:

  • Plan and deliver people projects and initiatives, including contract migration and employee transfer projects, across different teams working in close collaboration with teams across the business; inside and outside of WPP Media; WPP, Technology, internal and third parties.
  • Co‑ordinate delivery plan from concept to change delivered, working with the operational and data excellence teams and business stakeholders, including HR teams, Data, WPP teams, Finance, CP Systems, and HR Business Partners to ensure alignment, timely execution and to prioritise key process issues impacting delivery. Set and govern core project and programme governance.
  • Deliver project reporting covering overall status, risks, issues and mitigation plan as well as highlighting benefits once they are realised.
  • Obtain agreement and subsequent communication of project scope, governance and delivery plan.
  • Prepare and shape materials for senior stakeholder meetings.
  • Identify and call out emerging risks and potential roadblocks to successful early implementation.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to prioritise key process issues impacting delivery and, with the support of the impacted teams, track this through to delivery.
  • Promote new thinking, creative solutions and ways of working to address issues and mitigate risks.
  • Bring disjointed elements together to provide clarity and frame core decisions/next steps.
  • Lead continuous improvement of processes and procedures, supporting process improvement across the people team. Drive progress by using influencing techniques and chasing down actions, carefully minuting meetings and scheduling key agendas.
  • Translate business requirements to technical teams and have the capability to understand technical solutions and impact of these to the desired solution.

In order to succeed in this role you will have:

  • A passion for change and delivering value to customers.
  • A blend of drive and diplomacy: the ability to make things happen in an environment of ambiguity, complexity and multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience of a range of project management methodologies and tools (e.g. Agile, Prince2, Hybrid); strong structured communication skills, especially listening, that work for audiences at all levels and enable you to translate messages in a straightforward and simple manner. The ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with a range of individuals at all levels in the organisation.
  • Enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment with the ability to manage multiple key priorities. A ‘can do’ attitude will lead by example, and be prepared to go the extra mile when needed.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to influence and communicate with differing levels of the organisation.
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.

What we would love you to have:

  • Experience in working in the media business, planning/buying or HR Operations programme management in a large transforming organisation.
  • Extensive change management experience in a fast‑paced and unstructured environment.
  • Knowledge of intercompany transfer processes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g. Workday).
