Job Type(s): Part‑time (16.25 hours per week): Permanent Schedule: Days (rotational shift basis that includes weekends) Hourly Rate: £12.21

We are looking for a Pantry Assistant who is dedicated to making every moment count, regardless of their qualifications or experience.

As a Pantry Assistant, you will need to be adaptable and able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with our team are essential for maintaining the pantry, organising supplies, and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly to meet the dietary needs of residents.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the "Cook Safe" system, ensuring adherence to food safety policies, including food probing, temperature monitoring, and hygiene measures.
  • Prepare and serve breakfast, offer meal choices to residents, and cook light meals.
  • Liaise with cooks to accommodate residents' dietary needs, be aware of food allergies, and complete daily menus based on individual preferences.
  • Clear tables, wash dishes, prepare vegetables, set up for meals, and maintain a clean kitchen and dining area.
  • Order and store food supplies, ensuring adequate stock while adhering to infection control and health and safety policies.
  • Attend mandatory training.
  • Previous kitchen or food service experience is preferable, along with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, physical stamina, and good communication abilities.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for helping others are essential.
