Packing Line Lead - (Late shift)
Job Introduction

Packing Line Lead - Late shift - £19.30 per hour equivalent Monday - Thursday 2.00pm - 10.30pm, Friday 12.00pm - 8.30pm with every other Friday off (36 hour week) - £36,131.16 salary (£19.30 hourly equivalent). Yes, we work a 9 day fortnight!

Based at our Skipton, North Yorkshire manufacturing site. Please only apply if you live within a commuting distance of Skipton BD23 2RW

The Role

To take responsibility for the equipment used and ensure all aspects of use (production and cleaning) are carried out to a high standard, in line with associated documentation and GMP procedures. Lead a team whilst operating and packing products to the highest quality standard and compliant to the set GMP guidelines and procedures. Operate machinery and equipment whereby delegating instruction and tasks to team members whilst delivering excellence and meeting the schedule of adherence. To ensure all activities undertaken are within the set health and safety guidelines.

  • Pack products to high quality standards and drive those quality standards in accordance with the set GMP standards and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) whilst driving adherence to team members
  • Support, attend and comply with any planned in‑house training or job training
  • To support operational excellence incentives to drive and improve efficiency
  • Maintain and drive the highest standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and personal hygiene within the department
  • Demonstrate and drive all Dechra values and encourage others to do the same
  • Support the departmental goal of achieving 'Zero' overdue CAPA's, deviations and change controls
  • Ensure paperwork is 'Right first time'
  • Maintain the manufacturing plan and ensure schedules of adherence in order to meet the agreed targets
  • Maintain high level of operational excellence and support the line leads to drive and improve efficiency
  • Maintaining GMP and Health & Safety at all times ensuring the 'Close out' of hazards and risk assessments in a timely manner
You

A self‑motivated enthusiastic individual who can work well within a team environment performing packing activities including the operation and cleaning of equipment, whilst being able to complete associated documentation accurately and in a timely manner , in line with strict procedures.

  • Experience of supervising or leading a team
  • Experience with packing machinery
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both peers and other departments
  • Proven industry experience from a regulated GMP manufacturing environment
  • Ideally experience in a similar GMP packing role
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Good problem‑solving skills
  • A positive attitude
  • Good knowledge of Health and safety compliance
