Operations Support Manager – E&E Group (Marlin Environmental Services)

About the role

Marlin Environmental is seeking a confident and capable Operations Support Lead (Manager) to join our team. This pivotal role will lead operations, manage projects, and ensure compliance across our commercial division.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Marlin Commercial SE team, ensuring efficient use of personnel and resources
• Plan, organise, and oversee projects in line with Marlin Environmental Services Quality Procedures
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and waste management regulations, working closely with the SHEQ team
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, surveys, and reports to maintain high standards of safety and quality
• Investigate and record incidents, accidents, and complaints, identifying hazards and reducing risks
• Chair meetings, toolbox talks, and ensure accurate completion of documentation to customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with other teams across the business and E&E group to deliver joint projects and maximise resource utilisation

Requirements

• Proven engineering background with hands‑on sector experience
• Extensive knowledge of ship systems and maintenance programmes
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, workforce and clients at all levels
• Experience in production of accurate quotations and reports in a concise and timely manner as demanded by the customer
• Ability to perform under multiple pressures
• Organised, IT‑savvy, commercially aware
• Excellent working knowledge of ISO standards
• Understanding and knowledge of health and safety at work, experience of implementing safe systems of work, with a track record of managing the health and wellbeing of operational staff
