Operate Technician
We are looking for a Operate Technicians to join our team here at Sizewell B Power Station where you will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of a nuclear power plant in accordance with all licences, regulating bodies, company business strategies and industry best practices.
The salary range for this post is £33,748 to £53,385 depending on experience and an appropriate shift allowance will also be paid once training is complete and shift work commences.

The successful candidate(s) will become members of the Operations Department, working a shift pattern. This includes nights, weekends, and bank holidays (including Christmas). It is expected that staff will hold multiple plant area competencies, and an Emergency Scheme Role.
As a minimum, you will be educated to GCSE / National Qualifications standards (or Equivalent). Candidates with these qualifications that include “C” and above grade passes in English and Mathematics may have an advantage.
Typically, Candidates should have experience in the operation and/or maintenance of plant and machinery, although a comprehensive training package is in place.
The post holders will be required to maintain the necessary physical fitness to perform the role identified above, including the following associated competencies with the emergency response team –
To comply with Emergency Scheme arrangements, staff must live within 25 miles (30 minutes) of the Station.
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
