Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team. The OT will evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. This role plays a vital part in enhancing patient independence and quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient evaluations to assess physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
  • Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve functional abilities and independence.
  • Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and home exercise programs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Supervise and guide Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) and other support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and rehabilitation practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
  • Prior experience in hospital, outpatient, or rehabilitation settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
