Overview

Nonprofit Leadership Programme role at The Borgen Project.

We’re seeking passionate individuals to advance poverty reduction through advocacy, fundraising, recruitment, and marketing efforts. This is a part-time, remote programme that is unpaid, with the option to earn college credit. Start dates are available monthly; you may complete the programme in fewer weeks if you have limited availability.

Responsibilities
  • Advocacy Leadership Development: Meet with government representatives in your district, represent The Borgen Project at business, political and community events, and mobilize individuals to contact government members in support of key poverty-reduction legislation.
  • Fundraising Development: Learn fundraising techniques, create a personal fundraising campaign, and work toward targets.
  • Recruitment: Update job postings, inform groups and classes of openings, gain introductory exposure to recruitment platforms, and participate in interview processes.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Pitch story ideas to print, broadcast and digital media; utilize social media and develop web-based messaging strategies.
Experience

No prior experience is necessary; we seek people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of GPA or background.

Details

This is an unpaid internship, although college credit is available.

Start Date: New programmes begin every month; you can choose the month you wish to start.
